Colombia is a beautiful and safe destination, offering a unique blend of climates and scenery. From the Caribbean coastline to the high peaks of the Andes and the tropical forests – Colombia has it all.

Your tour starts in the bustling capital Bogota. You will collect the bikes, attend the pre tour briefing and then you can enjoy the welcome dinner with the other riders. The following morning you will battle your way out of Bogota's City traffic for the short days ride to Villa de Leyva. One of the most beautiful colonial villages in Colombia, Villa de Leyva is a city frozen in time. It was declared a national monument in 1954 and has been preserved in its entirety with cobblestone roads and whitewashed buildings.

Heading northwest you will ride through the Iguaque National Park over the Andes and over two days make your way to Mompos on the banks of the river Magdelena. The old centre of Mompos is a UNESCO World Heritage site, described as the city that time forgot, it was from here the Bolivar raised an army to start to liberate South America from the Spanish. From here you are heading for two nights on the Caribbean Coast in Palomino. Cabins a stones throw from the beach and a chance to chill out and relax or...

You can take a ride to Cabo de La Vela. Off the beaten path for most who visit Colombia this desert paradise is located in the La Guajira peninsula of Northern Colombia and requires a ride on dirt roads to access it. The remote nature of the area protected it from the conquistadors as the local tribe managed to defeat them and remain free from the Spanish occupation of South America.

Then you are heading south through the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains to the notorious city of Cartagena with a free day to explore this fascinating city. Cartagena is a UNSECO listed city and has the most extensive fortifications in South America. The surviving fortifications, the Castle of San Felipe, the Cathedral - Basilica of Saint Catherine of Alexandria and the many other sites of this safe and charming city will easily fill your day off spent here.

Via a pleasant overnight stop you are heading from plains back into the mountains and to Medellin for which the famous drugs cartel was named in the bad old days. You have a free day here to explore the city, marvel at the Plaza de Botero, ride the cable cars and enjoy the excellent restaurants in Zona Rose in the evening. The riding from Medellin is miles and miles of mountain bends as you head to the Zone Cafetera or Coffee Region. The best coffee is grown on the terraced slopes of the mountains in this tropical paradise. Two nights spent on a coffee plantation where you can kick back, relax and enjoy the finest local brews or wander the plantation or come out and enjoy more great Andes riding. Our final night on the road is in Honda back on the banks of the Magdalena River. Once a flourishing port on the route from the Caribbean to Bogota now the "City of Bridges" enjoys a more relaxed style.

All too soon you are heading back to Bogota for the final night, but not before 200 more magnificent mountain miles through the Andes. Tonight we will enjoy the farewell dinner in Zona Rosa the beating heart of this vibrant city, swap stories, dance to the rhythms of Cumbia with the locals and promise to return to this captivating country.

  • Two nights on the Caribbean coast with sandy beaches
  • Four days riding the endless bends of the Zona Cafetera in the Andes
  • Ride the Chicamocha Canyon
  • UNESCO listed Mompos
  • The timeless village of Villa de Leyva
  • Dining in Zona Rosa in Medellin
