Take two weeks and immerse yourself in the rich history of ancient Greece, riding mountain passes, sweeping coastal roads with some time out to catch some late summer sun sitting on tranquil Kefalonian beaches. Visit the Acropolis, Odeion of Herodes Atticus, Olymbion, Roman Market, Panathinaiko Stadium or Kallimarmaro and the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio.

Three days riding through France, Belgium and Italy is just the appetiser. But don't dismiss these days. A night in the Ardennes, riding through the Vosges Mountains, winding over the Grimsell, Furka and San Gotthard Passes in the Alps are all packed into the first few days. A blast across Northern Italy takes you to the UNESCO listed world heritage site of Venice where we have the afternoon and evening to stroll its many canals and bridges.

Leaving Italy you are taking a 36 hour ferry to the Greek city of Patras. After a relaxing night in Patras you have a much shorter ferry hopping over to Kefalonia. Time to relax on the islands beautiful turquoise beaches or for the more adventurous, a circular ride around the island made famous in "Captain Correllis Mandolin".

After relaxing on the island we head back onto the mainland to immerse ourselves in the rich ancient history that is Greece, starting in Olympus, the birth place of the Olympic games. After two nights in Olympus we snake our way west leaving the Peloponnese behind. Take time to visit the Ancient Theatre at Epidaurus before crossing the Corinth Canal and stopping for the night in the Loutraki area on the Gulf of Corinth.

The ancient site at Delphi is our next destination but first we have some great roads to ride. Follow the narrow coastal road around the Gulf of Corinth, mere feet away from the sea, before climbing up into the Viotia Mountain Region with its ski resorts. You have the option to extend the day or to head straight to Delphi where once the famous Oracle resided in what was considered to be the centre of the world. Your last days riding and we follow the Aegean Sea South as we head into the greek capital, Athens, considered the birthplace of civilisation. You have a tour of the city on the first day and still another free day to explore. Take time to visit the Acropolis, Odeion of Herodes Atticus, Olymbion, Roman Market, Panathinaiko Stadium or Kallimarmaro and the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio. You have two full days to explore this cities ancient history before the farewell dinner on the last night where we can recount this amazing trip

From Athens we will ship your bike back home to your (UK) BMW Motorrad Centre, while you fly home having ridden Greece in just two weeks, unless of course you have time to ride home?

Motorcycle Shipping

This tour finishes in Athens. If you are riding your own bike on tour you can either ride home at the end of the tour or choose to have your bike shipped and fly home saving money and a weeks riding.

Why Ship Your Motorcycle?

When touring you want to enjoy the maximum amount of time riding the country or region that you are visiting. That's why we start and finish some tours in destination cities in Europe. This allows us to plan more time completely immersed in the area the tour focusses on.

Riding home from Athens will take at least five days to the UK, depending where you are based. If you have an extra week to spare this is fine and can be part of the fun. However if you have just a couple of weeks then shipping your bike saves time and allows you to explore new and exciting places.

Shipping your bike will also save you money. To ride home from the tour you will need at least four nights in hotels, an overnight ferry from Greece, fuel for 850+ miles, road tolls, plus bike and tyre wear as well as food. When you add it up it is cheaper, easier and more relaxing to lets us ship your bike and fly home.
